Sorry, we do not accept pets.
The Belfry is 100% no smoking. Smoking is forbidden anywhere in the building, bedrooms, bathrooms and communal guest areas. If guests wish to smoke outside please be considerate to others and place all litter in a bin. The Belfry reserves the rights to levy an additional cleaning fee of £100.
The price includes accommodation and breakfast. At the time of booking, a deposit equivalent to a one-night’s stay per room is required to secure a reservation.
The balance of your booking will become due on the day of departure, payable in cash or by debit/credit card.
We accept all debit and credit cards but unfortunately do not accept American Express or Diners Club.
If you need to alter or cancel your booking please contact us as soon as possible.
If it is necessary for guests to either alter or cancel their travel arrangements, we will attempt to re-sell the booking. Where this is possible we will refund any deposit already received, less an administration charge of £5 per room.
We will only retain deposits for rooms we are unable to re-sell.
As we are a small guest house, if you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, you’ll be charged for the full length of your stay.
We recommend you check your travel insurance covers you for cancellations due to emergency situations.
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival time is up to 12:30pm or after 4:00pm. You may arrive early through the day and register, leave your bags and collect your keys. Estimated times of arrival are always appreciated. Please ring on 01947 600860 to confirm arrival time.
Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10:30 on the day of departure. It may be possible for you to leave your bags with us, if you are staying in Whitby for the day. Your account is payable on departure, however if you are leaving early please make arrangements to settle your account on the day prior to departure.
Damages and breakages
Please take care with our accommodation, we take great pride in providing excellent facilities and high levels of cleanliness. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur.
A nominal charge of £25 will be levied for replacement room keys should the need arise.
The Belfry does not accept liability for any damage, loss or injury to you and any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions.
Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer. Information will not be shared with third parties.
